ADULT CARERS SUPPORT

‘You are an adult carer if you provide a substantial amount of unpaid help and support to a family member or friend over the age of 18 who couldn’t manage on their own due to sickness, age or disability, including mental illness, alcohol and drug misuse’.
Definition: Lancashire County Council.

We offer a range of information, trips, events and activities to carers so whether you need face to face support, want information or just need a break,
we can  help.

If you are new to Carers Link, we will arrange to for you to meet with one of our dedicated Carers Development Workers face to face.  During this meeting we will talk about your caring role, and provide you with information and support specific to your individual needs.  You will also be given a ‘Carers Information Pack’ to refer to when you need it. These meetings are usually held at our offices, based in Accrington and Clitheroe at a time to suit you.  Following this, we will register you with our service and you will have access to our full range of support services.
